I know I say this every single week, but it has been a week, ladies and gentlemen. I’ve taken the next major steps in my brand, we’ve ordered the most important additions to the new van, and school has been whopping my lil butt. Read on to find out what you’ve been missing this week!
Monday saw the newest installment of No Name for a Sword. The series is a blast to write—chiefly because it’s way more difficult to write a series through epic haiku than I thought it’d be. What was supposed to be a casual passion project to keep me loose has turned into a legitimate work teaching me very valuable lessons on authorship. So glad I decided to do it. Check out the sixth chapter here.
Writer Wednesday was a little different than y’all are used to! I’ve decided that writing the Wednesday articles just isn’t attracting the level of viewership they deserve. They take a long time to write and they get bypassed by people who prefer to get their writing advice through video. So, I started recording video! I’ve bought a webcam, a mouse, and some video editing software. You can check out the first video Writer Wednesday: Embracing Your Passions by clicking right here.
FFS Friday this week addresses Weathering the Storm. Coping techniques are incredibly important in our society. When life seems to do nothing but throw you hardship, how do you deal with it? This article is especially helpful for those of you out there feeling like they’re drowning in the rain. I’m here to tell you: it won’t last forever, and there are things you can do to get out of that terrible hole. Check out the article here.
Ohhhhhhh man! I’m so friggin’ pumped right now, you guys.
As most of you know, Mir and I were involved in a terrible highway collision back in late October. We were run off the road when a truck popped a tire and drove us into the median. Our old van, Rhino, took a huge hit and suffered injuries that basically totaled the vehicle. Even still, we all trooped it out and limped our way from Montana to Florida. We’ve bought a new van and have been diligently planning out the conversion of the new guy (Reggie).
Well, today marks a turning point in our fortune, all! We used some of the excess money from my old savings account to get our hands on an electric battery, a solar panel, and a ventilation fan! Everything but the battery has arrived in the mail so far. Starting next week, we’ll be installing all of that stuff and laying down the floor. It will officially mark the start of us turning our new van into a rolling apartment! Eventually, it’ll have running water and lights as well!
Stay tuned for conversion videos and pictures!
In typical new me fashion, I’ve been working myself to death trying to maintain a high GPA. Old me—the young highschooler and college freshman circa 2007—wouldn’t have given half a shit about education. Now, I’m older and wiser, and it’s important to me to keep those grades nice and high. I’m going for Creative Writing with a focus on Fiction. So, obviously, it’s important I do my best. Unfortunately, that means I tend to go overboard…
English Composition II – 100%
Shakespeare – 98%
Major developments here. I’ve been working to consolidate and synchronize the three Devils of Kharashan outlines and it’s been going very well! The deadline for that is Sunday, 11 February 2018. The official start of the Book One first draft will be 12 February 2018. You guys can expect to see some serious progress on this throughout the next few months. Stay tuned for exclusive content regarding this project.
Major announcement: I have officially begun intensive work on building an author website. It is no small task for a perfectionist. I assure you. The site’s actually nearly finished, and I think you all will really like it! I do need some help, though. I’m currently looking for reviews and positive feedback for my work (or my blog in general) that I can post on the site’s front page. I’ll use a snippet from your review, a picture of your choosing, and your name (profile name or real name, fake name if you want)—just so you know. If you’re interested in helping me out with this, please shoot me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org . Include your review (a paragraph or so), your picture, and what name you’d like me to use. Thank you so much in advance!
When the site comes out (hopefully within the next few days), you’ll get access to all my social feeds in one place, plus a neat progress tracker for my current writing project. You’ll get to know a little about me as well! I’ll be running promotions, giveaways, and exclusive content directly from the website as well, so make sure to bookmark it!
But that’s not all! I’ve also (finally) established my Patreon account! For those of you who don’t know, Patreon basically just allows you to donate money (as low as $1.00) directly to me. If you’re interested in helping me pay the bills with an extra couple bucks lying around, I’d really appreciate it! This kind of help will help me focus more on producing quality content, and can pay for things like: new equipment, additions to the van for more comfortable living, and groceries. It’s also a great way to simply show your appreciation and help me feel as though all my hard work is worth a damn. If you’re interested, you can click here to learn more.

That’s all for this week, folks. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate everything you guys do for me every day. I know you don’t see it: but I work hard to bring you good, quality content for free. I plan to keep doing so for as long as I possibly can. You guys inspire me to start my days before the sun comes up and not finish until it goes back down. (Don’t worry, I still get plenty of sleep!) You’ve helped me go from an unknown writer to setting up an official website, YouTube channel, and Patreon. That’s… amazing.
Thank you all so much. I love you.
Have an awesome weekend! Remember: always have a plan.
